Kathy
Petreré, Head Wrangler & Hired Hand Boss
With a decidedly urban upbringing (native Detroiter),
Kathy started Geese Wranglers to combine her love of working and training
dogs with the realities of city living. She keeps the dogs busy in
their "spare time" with herding, search
and rescue, mushing,
frisbee and pet therapy, among other things. |

Lynn Ramsay, Wrangler and IT Manager
Lynn, who comes from a multimedia background, enjoys
geese wrangling almost as much as taking care of the company’s
technology needs. She especially loves to run the RC boats to assist
the dogs in getting geese off the water. (There's that technology
thing again.) |
Hired Hand Speck,
CGC, is a Border Collie and one
of our foundation dogs. You might recognize her from our logo! She's a
talented sheepdog and has a gorgeous 'round-the-pond outrun.
Speck loves people almost as much as herding (*almost*). She's a stylish
worker and transplanted Canuck -- no wonder she works "Canada"
geese like a veteran, eh? Due to late-onset hearing loss, Speck has been
retired from goose work.
Hired Hand Nunzi, CGC,
is an Australian Shepherd who comes from a long line of
working dogs and is a descendant of a famous rodeo trick dog. He has an
outstanding work ethic and believes his mission in life is to swim
after geese.

Moss |

|
| Hired
Hand Moss, CGC,is
a Border Collie who is as fast as lightning. This guy can clear
five acres full of geese in about 30 seconds (we timed it!). After
work, he's ready to socialize -- this dog believes everyone is his
best friend.

Dottie |
|
Hired
Hand Dottie, CGC,
is an Australian Shepherd who hails from the Lone Star state. Out
of cowdog parents, Dottie is one tough cookie and loves nothing more
than facing down cranky geese. Big swimmer, too!
|
 |
Gem |
 |
Hired Hand Gem,
CGC,
is the daughter of Moss and Speck and a workaholic.
Whether on an outrun or swimming in a lake after the geese, she's
FAST.

Flower Power |
 |
Rooftop Wrangler Flower Power,
CGC, leaves the herding
to the Big Dogs. At 10 lbs. soaking wet, JRT Flower Power can fit
in a backpack, which makes it much easier to get a dog on a roof to
harass geese who think roofs are safe. The Power of the Flower
quickly changes their minds. She is the definition of Small, But Mighty
-- it's all about presence! Flower will works on the kayak, too (and
it wasn't easy finding a life jacket to fit her!).

Hands In-Training |
 |
|
 |
| Roy (Moss/Slash)
has started his livestock training and is doing very well. He's all
business when it comes to sheep and ducks. Expect to see him working
geese with a vengeance in 2009. |
|
Asa
is a Border Collie and came to Geese Wranglers
from Virginia at 12 weeks of age. He came off the plane and immediately
wanted to work the ducks. We have high hopes for him! |
