Pedigrees of Sire and Dam

Siblings (half and full) are training in FEMA, wilderness, HRD, herding, agility, one is a working goosedog and one is a working farm dog.

Roy has a pleasant, laid back temperament, a good amount of toy drive and a natural retrieve.

He has had several months of herding training, one month professional training, the rest of his training has been at home/on-the-job. He works easy-going cattle, sheep, goats and ducks.

From his trainer:

"Roy would be a wonderful dog for a family with a few chores and kids to play with. One plus with him on a farm would be he would not be a dog that would sneak off and get into the stock once he is done with the stock he is done. He has a nice outrun, he knows his flanks and will fetch the sheep to you. He works well in small spaces and small lots. He is calm with his stock but doesn't lack the power to move them.  He would do better with a laid back.. quiet handler.  He could run a novice course right now."

Roy gets along with everyone and all animals, is an easy-keeper, travels well and is quiet at home. His litter was desensitized to noises and surfaces early on, were well socialized and I also did early neurological stimulation with them.

He is not noise-sensitive, has a very high pain tolerance and loves to swim. He has very little interest in working geese, but will work ducks on land. Roy needs a regular job and a fair amount of activity, but settles down quickly and is easy going.

Roy is a nice dog all-around and would be an asset to someone w/a small farm that needs a part-time sheepdog/part-time family dog.
